Mango Oat Smoothie
Looking for something refreshing on a hot summer day?
Need a simple breakfast that can made in a jiffy for your ride to work?
Throw a few simple, delicious ingredients into a blender (I use a Nutribullet) and B-A-M you are D-O-N-E and on your way.
This smoothie is packed with protein & fiber and will help keep you full all morning long.
Grab your ingredients and go.
Use whatever frozen fruit you have in the freezer.
Prep Time: 5 minutes | Serves: 3
WHAT YOU NEED:
2 cups frozen mango
1 banana (frozen is better)
1/4 cup old fashioned oats
2 cups oat milk or other plant based milk or skim milk
1 T. ground flax seed
1/4 lemon or orange (juiced)
HOW TO DO IT:
Throw all ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth.
Divide into 3 glasses and enjoy!
TIPS:
NO BANANA - Sweeten with date syrup or a couple soaked dates.
STORAGE - Refrigerate in a mason jar or other air tight container for up to 48 hours.
MORE PROTEIN - Add some hemp seeds or a scoop of protein powder or powdered nut butter.
LIKE A TROPICAL FLAVOR - Add a little coconut extract for the flavor without the fat.
