Ingredients Overview:

Watermelon

Watermelon is the perfect ingredient for this recipe because it’s not only incredibly refreshing but it’s also packed with nutrients that are great for summertime. Watermelon is a great source of vitamins A and C, as well as potassium and lycopene – all of which are important for keeping our bodies healthy in the heat. Plus, watermelon is over 90% water, so it’s a great way to keep yourself hydrated!

Lime Juice

Lime juice is a key ingredient in this recipe, as it provides a tart and juicy contrast to the sweetness of the watermelon. In addition to being delicious, lime juice is also packed with Vitamin C – an important nutrient for boosting our immune system.

Club Soda or Selzer

Club soda or seltzer is a great way to add some extra bubbles and zip to this recipe. If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic option, club soda or seltzer is a great choice. However, if you’re feeling festive, you could also use sparkling wine or champagne in this recipe!

50/50 Agave Nectar

Agave nectar is a natural sweetener that comes from the agave plant. It has a similar flavor to honey, but is less processed and has a lower glycemic index. This makes it a great choice for people who are looking for a healthier alternative to refined sugar. Agave nectar also works well in this recipe because it dissolves easily and doesn’t change the flavor of the other ingredients. The 50/50 Agave blend is part Stevia and part Agave making a great choice if you are cutting back on your sugar intake.

Mint Leaves

Mint leaves are a refreshing and flavorful addition to this recipe. Not only do they taste great, but they also have some impressive health benefits. Mint leaves can help to soothe an upset stomach, and they’re also a good source of antioxidants.

Out of club soda or seltzer?: You can always swap in plain water and add our own bubbles using a Soda Stream or use your favorite unsweetened sparkling water.

No agave nectar/stevia blend on hand?: Regular agave nectar, honey, date syrup or maple syrup are all great substitutes. The carbs/sugars will be higher so use half.
